About Dominion
In Dominion, each player starts with an identical, very small deck of cards. In the center of the table is a selection of other cards the players can “buy” as they can afford them. Through their selection of cards to buy, and how they play their hands as they draw them, the players construct their deck on the fly, striving for the most efficient path to the precious victory points by game end.
You are a monarch, like your parents before you, a ruler of a small pleasant kingdom of rivers and evergreens. Unlike your parents, however, you have hopes and dreams! You want more land and a bigger kingdom, with more rivers and a wider variety of trees. You want a Dominion! You will buy up all you can, controlling all the little people and their lands, thus controlling the anarchy and ruling the lands.
But wait! Something else is afoot! Several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn’t be proud, but your grandparents would be delighted.
Dominion is not a collectable card game(CCG), but the play of the game is similar to the construction and play of a CCG deck. The game comes complete with roughly 500 cards. You select 10 of the 25 Kingdom card types to include in any given play — leading to immense variety in game play.
Thoughts on Dominion
I sat down to play this interesting game the other night and I was a little confused at first. Though, you realize that the learning curve is pretty easy, but the strategic implements are immense. As I have described you get to create your deck on the fly as you play the game. Each card you can buy has a price and you must buy what you can, and everything you can to help you to win. This doesn’t mean that you need every card, this you must decide on your own. You start with a little bit of money cards and a couple estate cards. Estate cards are what help you win the game. Other cards in the game just help you stop your opponents and aid you in gaining said estate cards. Some of the great cards in the game are the “Thief” and the “Market Place.” The Thief aids you in gaining money from other opponents, while the Market Place helps you to gain an extra “buy” action, adds an additional copper to your money spending pot, and even gives you another “action” opportunity.
Final Thoughts
If you haven’t played Dominion, I would definitely reccomend it, and I would highly advise to buy it for those game nights. It’s a great time waster, a lot of fun, with lots of strategy and you find yourself addicted before you know it!

Awesome Game. Nice card game that is fun for 2-4 players. You select 10 cards at random from a supply of 25. So there are many different possibilities. The game plays very quick. Unless you are playing against Joe. LOL
